The Information and Privacy Commissioner is an independent Officer of the Legislative Assembly of Nunavut who fulfills a number of roles as defined by the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Elaine Keenan Bengts was re-appointed Information and Privacy Commissioner by the Third Legislative Assembly of Nunavut in March of 2010.
